Staying on budget can be difficult when it comes to live music. Not only will you need to
pay the hire price, but you’ll also need to consider little things like paying for food for your musicians (check their terms to see if this is something you need to arrange).
You’ll also need to consider whether you’ve got enough space for them to set up, and how they’ll get their instruments into place. Whilst any good band will be happy to talk you through all these details before you book, having some key insights ahead of time from your planner can smooth out the process. Plus, we’ll be happy to advise on things you should look out for in your contract to ensure that both you and your chosen band have a great time.

In some cases, your planner may work frequently with some specific bands, so they may
offer a better price if you go with their recommendations. This can save you money, but
also it can mean that the band goes out of their way to impress, as they want to continue working with the planner in the future.
In order for this to work, it’s important that you feel you can fully trust your planner. Independent wedding planners will only give good recommendations as we want to protect our personal brand, but venue staff may not have any personal relationships with the vendors they recommend. That doesn’t mean their bands aren’t great, but you will want to see some independent reviews or hear them play before you go ahead.
